We can now offer a Control and Restraint course over two days training.  Our instructor is qualified via NFPS and has qualifications in Physical Restraint Practice and Conflict Management.  He has an advanced award in Breakaway Techniques (Level 4) and is qualified in PTLLS.  The course used to run over five days, but has now been trimmed down to two.  The Breakaway Techniques course is an extra day.  Managing challenging behaviour safety is a must for the increasingly violent nursing workplace.  By the end of the two days you will be able to:

  • Define challenging behaviour

  • Explain personal and environmental factors that influence challenging behaviour and action plan how to reduce them

  • Identify positive behaviour management techniques to reduce incidents and de-escalate situations

  • Work as a team to create individual interventions for persistently challenging service users

  • Understand the legislation that relates to managing challenging behaviour

Do you realise that if you are subjected to continual violent/challenging behaviour, the hospital/company you work for should give you the requisite training to make your work place safer?

This course is valid for one year and annual updates are available.
