This is a one day course which is aimed at staff and carers et al. who want to know more about this particular illness. We aim to cover aetiology, onset, treatment and prognosis. Signs, symptoms and relapse are also covered along with the Mental Health Act, Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults & Children (SOVA), Deprivation of Liberties (DoLs), and Mental Capacity.

We discuss various forms of schizophrenia types & routes of medication and compliancy. There will be various exercises to help the understanding of the illness.
