This one day seminar is designed and aimed at staff, carers, and relatives of people suffering from some form of dementia. The course will discuss aetiology, onset treatment, and prognosis. It will give help for coping mechanisms and some ideas towards helping sufferers. We also cover the Mental Health Act, Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults & Children (SOVA), Deprivation of Liberty (DoLs), and Mental Capacity. 

We discuss types of medication and compliance and we also show you exercises to help cope with the sufferers as well as some diversion tactics to relieve distress of the sufferer. This course is a base level course and further in depth courses are planned for the future.
